The uranium produced at McArthur River is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. The Role We are looking for a collaborative team player that will safely and effectively lead the day-to-day activities for the site services team. You will be looked upon to lead the site services team through changes and improvements that align with Cameco's strategic goals. You will also be responsible for identifying and developing continual improvement projects to support the needs of the operation to achieve the safety, environment, community, and financial performance goals of this state-of-the-art mining operation. Requirements

  • minimum grade 12 diploma or equivalent
  • seven years of relevant work experience in heavy industry or an industrial environment
  • equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
  • effective leadership skills
  • solid team player with excellent communication and organizational skills
  • willingness to give and receive honest feedback and learn required computer skills
  • valid class 5 driver's license
  • work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
  • pre-employment substance test

Nice To Haves

  • experience with heavy equipment
  • concrete technology or civil engineering technology diploma
  • previous supervisory experience
  • Saskatchewan's supervisor certificate
  • first aid certification

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, mentor, plan, coordinate, and schedule site services operations and project tasks to meet site requirements.
  • Ensure the safe, effective and efficient execution of site services activities in adherence to internal policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Execute site services activities safely, effectively, and efficiently while adhering to internal policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure the concrete batch plant meets production requirements for both quantity and quality
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the airport, batch plant, road maintenance, and heavy equipment operation.
  • Identify and develop continuous improvement projects to support the needs of the operation.
