About The Position

SUMMARY: Reporting directly to the Director of Maintenance, this Supervisor is responsible for the sanitation of the entire facility including manufacturing, warehouse, grounds, offices and Ed Center through Autonomous Team activities on the all shifts. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage and direct the outside janitorial service. Insure that all employees follow ALL safety, GMP and Food Safety policies and procedures at all times. Manage and order supplies/chemicals necessary to perform all work. Oversee the facility pest control services provided by an outside vendor. Implements policies and procedures regarding safety, operating methods, and behavior. Facilitates team problem solving sessions and recommends measures to improve sanitation of production and warehouse work areas as well as product food safety. Trains new and existing employees, improving operations and safety procedures. Prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow, coordinating maintenance and sanitation activities to ensure AIB, FDA, USDA, Kosher, microbiological and TPM, 5S standards. Schedules and maintains the Master Sanitation Schedule documentation for regulatory compliance. Develops Autonomous Maintenance and Planned Maintenance, continuously improving plant cleanliness and operation. Inspects facilities, equipment and products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments of machines. Reconciles production data and reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays. Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety rules as stated in the Employee Handbook and otherwise posted or communicated. Requirements

  • Four (4) year College degree or equivalent, and five years experience supervising manufacturing in a Union environment, Food, Beverage and/or Pharmaceutical operations - or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Must have the demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, and to insure employee and product safety.

Nice To Haves

  • SQC, SPC and TPM experience is a definite plus.
