The role is responsible for meeting and exceeding operational work flow, productivity and results standards related to the above functions. Coordinates and aligns the resources deployed to revenue cycle functions across the clinical specialty in an effort to build consistency of work flow and optimize resource usage. The position also organizes, manages, and monitors the performance productivity of revenue cycle. Supervises staff, providing work assignments, performance feedback and corrective action as necessary. Attends educational in-services as appropriate. Supervises daily revenue cycle operations in assigned clinical specialty and monitors revenue cycle metrics for area of responsibility.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent with four (4) years of revenue cycle experience, preferably in physician billing, coding, and/or medical management; OR any combination of equivalent education and experience; OR successful completion of the TEC Operations Development Program (ODP).

Nice To Haves

  • Coding certificate through nationally recognized organization (AAPC, AHIMA, etc.): CCS-P, CPC, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC-H
  • Advanced knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, billing regulations, Medicare & NCCI guidelines, insurance coverage limitations and managed care protocols preferred
  • GE Centricity Business experience preferred
  • Successful completion of the AAPC ICD-10 Proficiency Assessment.
