About The Position

The Supervisor, Retail Operations (the "Supervisor") is responsible for assisting the Manager with interfacing, consulting with qualified patients and caregivers, and administering approved medical and recreational marijuana products. The Supervisor oversees all activities related to the operation of the Dispensing Facility to include patient/customer identification and registration, record retention, product tracking, and inventory control as directed by the Manager.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possession of a MED Badge.
  • Bachelor's degree or 3 years of experience at a management administrative level with an emphasis on employee relations and talent management preferred.
  • Hands-on responsibility for the full scope of human resources activities.
  • Passionate about handling all aspects of a retail operation including staffing schedules, compliance, inventory control, purchasing, and theft prevention.
  • Demonstrated management and leadership skills in a high growth environment preferred.
  • Operations management experience including production oversight and accountability.
  • Excellent consulting, conflict management, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Solid business acumen, management reporting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills including listening, coaching, and training.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and time management skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships and experience working with senior level executives.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all rules and regulations governing the dispensing of cannabis products.
  • Directly supervise the activity within the dispensary including staff training and education in the absence of the Manager.
  • Provide management and leadership in the Dispensing Facility, monitoring all point of sale transactions.
  • Manage patient specific logs, receipt, storage, auditing of inventory, and ordering new inventory and supplies.
  • Resolve all inventory discrepancies and patient-staff conflicts.
  • Develop the Dispensing Facility's privacy policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with HIPAA.
  • Act as a liaison between all staff, dispensary management team, and external entities such as law enforcement and the local community.
  • Direct and monitor department managers to accomplish goals consistent with established safety procedures.
  • Establish methods to follow the operating plan in compliance with the Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Pilot Program.
  • Manage policies and procedures for retesting of returned approved medical marijuana products.
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining security systems for tracking and record keeping.
  • Develop an employee-oriented company culture emphasizing quality, continuous improvement, teamwork, and high performance.
  • Implement HR policies and programs in support of company initiatives.
  • Conduct investigations and respond to employee relation issues.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze data for continuous improvement.
  • Create organizational development and employee training programs.
  • Conduct performance reviews and monitor employee productivity.
  • Implement HR related software systems in collaboration with IT Partners.
  • Recruit and retain top quality staff for each department.
  • Manage talent acquisition and workforce management plan.
  • Build a quality assurance program tied to performance review process.
  • Develop compensation and benefit programs to motivate and reward effective performance.
  • Maintain excellent facilities conducive to enhancing employee productivity.
  • Provide company-wide communication and manage change.
