The Supervisor, Retail Operations is responsible for assisting the Manager with interfacing, consulting with qualified patients and caregivers, and administering approved medical marijuana products. The Supervisor oversees all activities related to the operation of the Dispensing Facility, including patient identification and registration, record retention, product tracking, and inventory control as directed by the Manager.

  • Ensure compliance with all Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Pilot Program rules and regulations governing the Act.
  • Directly supervise the activity within the dispensary, including staff training and education in the absence of the Manager.
  • Provide management and leadership in the Dispensing Facility, monitoring all point of sale transactions.
  • Manage patient specific logs, receipt, storage, and auditing of all inventory.
  • Order new inventory and supplies, maintaining accurate records using BioTrackTHC.
  • Resolve all inventory discrepancies and patient-staff conflicts.
  • Develop the Dispensing Facility's privacy policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with HIPAA.
  • Act as a liaison between all staff, dispensary management team, and external entities such as law enforcement and the local community.
  • Direct and monitor department managers to accomplish goals consistent with established safety procedures.
  • Establish methods to follow the operating plan in compliance with the Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Pilot Program.
  • Manage and implement policies for retesting of returned products and meet reporting requirements for adverse events and product recalls.
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining security systems for tracking and record keeping.
  • Develop an employee-oriented company culture emphasizing quality, continuous improvement, teamwork, and high performance.
  • Implement HR policies and programs in support of company initiatives.
  • Ensure job descriptions for all positions are accurate and current.
  • Conduct investigations and respond to employee relation issues.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze data for continuous improvement.
  • Create organizational development and employee training programs.
  • Conduct performance reviews with department managers and monitor employee productivity.
  • Implement HR related software systems in collaboration with IT Partners.
  • Recruit and retain top quality staff for each department.
  • Build a quality assurance program tied to performance review processes.
  • Develop compensation and benefit programs to motivate and reward effective performance.
  • Maintain excellent facilities conducive to enhancing employee productivity.
  • Provide company-wide communication and manage change.
  • Ensure employee safety, wellness, and health & welfare.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possession of a bachelor's degree or 3 years of experience at a management administrative level with an emphasis on employee relations and talent management.
  • Hands-on responsibility for the full scope of human resources activities, both operations and analysis.
  • Passionate about handling all aspects of a retail operation including staffing schedules, compliance, inventory control, purchasing, and theft prevention.
  • Demonstrated management and leadership skills in a high growth environment.
