About The Position

Oversees the daily functions of the Respiratory Care Department in the provision of respiratory care.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree or 3 years of relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor's degree.
• Pennsylvania state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• 3 years in a clinical setting.
• CPR – American Heart Association.
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s Degree.
• Previous supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the daily operations within the department e.g., quality assurance, performance improvement, productivity monitoring, staffing assignments.
• Performs or makes recommendations relative to hiring, evaluation, coaching, promoting, disciplining and discharging employees by following established HR policies, scheduling.
• Prepare, review and revise department standards of operation and care per regulatory requirements.
• Administers therapeutic respiratory care procedures according to hospital and department policies.
• Ensures compliance with and prepares the department for regulatory agencies.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
