About The Position

Patients depend on our team for the best in evidence-based care and innovative therapies, such as inhaled nitric oxide, high-frequency oscillation, and invasive and non-invasive ventilator support modalities. Opportunities exist for motivated Registered Respiratory Therapists (and Certified Respiratory Therapy Technicians) with the skills to provide a high level of quality service in a variety of settings including the ED, Trauma and Critical Care. The position supervises daily staff activities for Pediatric Cardiopulmonary services.

Requirements

• Accredited Program: Respiratory Therapy (Required)
• BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association
• BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association
• PALS American Heart_non ecard (PALS AHA) - American Heart Association
• PALS American Heart E-Card (PALS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RT LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)
• Three (3) years of experience.

Nice To Haves

• National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) is preferred.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) for NICU.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) for Pediatric areas.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) for Adult areas.

Responsibilities

• Provides direction, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff.
• Assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Determines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments and levels.
• Performs staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels.
• Leads the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints.
• Assesses quality of services delivered and facilitates staff development programs.
• Ensures staff compliance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures and protocols.
