The Supervisor, Residential Care will ensure best practices and guidelines are adhered to by all residential specialists and ensures most importantly, the safety and well-being of all Signature Health patients.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree in social science or relevant discipline preferred.
  • 3 years’ experience in a behavioral health or residential setting and 1–2 years in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
  • Knowledge or specialized training/experience in a behavioral health setting.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in social science or relevant discipline preferred.
  • 3 years’ experience in a behavioral health or residential setting and 1–2 years in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage and oversee the daily objectives and 24/7 staffing of the Residential Care team.
  • Ensure that key Residential Specialist tasks, including meal preparation, cleaning, medication supervision, transportation, documentation, and security checks are completed according to defined procedures.
  • Provide management support which may be required for alternate locations on an ongoing basis, or as needed for backup coverage.
  • Oversee team member’s individual performance, including ongoing coaching, development, and meeting objectives through the annual review process.
  • Lead by example by providing ongoing communication, teaching, and training to team members.
  • Actively lead team meetings and process improvement initiatives to continuously improve work productivity, quality, and efficiency of the team.
  • Assist Manager, Residential Services with interviewing potential employees and onboarding new hires.
  • Assist in implementing policies and procedures that meet/exceed ODJFS, ODBH, and CARF standards to obtain and maintain licensure in good standing.
  • Collaborate and coordinate services for residents, care providers, referral sources, courts, and other community stakeholders.
  • Conduct or supervise residential orientation for all new residents, and new staff members conducting services in the residential treatment facility
  • Supervise the organization of social/recreational activities for patents in residential care.
  • Manage required documentation to comply with regulatory requirements and facilitate smooth transitions of residential patients’ admissions and discharges.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with JFS, CARF, ODBH, and professional standards.
  • Facilitate staff development and training programs as assigned.
  • Maintain clear communication with residential and outpatient treatment teams, referents, guardians and family members, designated liaison persons, and external agencies.
  • Monitor and enforce patients’ rights and confidentially, ensuring high ethical standards.
  • Monitor and report staff performance.
  • Participate in all Quality Assurance and Utilization Review activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
