About The Position

The Supervisor, Rehabilitation, plays a pivotal role in managing daily operations within the Rehabilitation/Therapy departments, ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance with regulatory standards. This position collaborates closely with Rehabilitation leadership to maintain consistent care standards and optimize patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Active license in state of practice for one of the following areas: Occupational Therapy, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Physical Therapy, Physical Therapy Assistant, Speech Language Pathology, Athletic Training (required)
  • BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, required within 30 days for BSMH, required at hire for RSFH)
  • Three years clinical experience in area of specialty (preferred at BSMH, required at RSFH)
  • Demonstrates appropriate application of age specific standards, policies and procedures and guidelines in caring for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
  • Demonstrates general computer skills including data entry, word processing, email, and records management.
  • Analytical abilities to evaluate patient condition, capabilities and progress.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact with co-workers, physicians, patients and families.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking skills.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manages daily operations of rehabilitation services, ensuring compliance with professional, local, state, national, and Joint Commission standards.
  • Provides direct patient care and supervision as needed.
  • Assists Rehabilitation leadership in developing operating and capital budgets.
  • Focuses on productivity, revenue enhancement, and cost control to meet financial goals.
  • Ensures adherence to revenue cycle policies and benchmarks, fostering staff accountability.
  • Supports recruitment, hiring, orientation, training, and retention of staff.
  • Maintains optimal staffing levels to meet patient care demands and enhance productivity.
  • Conducts regular meetings to foster effective communication.
  • Implements comprehensive quality improvement programs based on relevant indicators and care standards.
  • Maintains equipment functionality and safety processes.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care processes.
  • Develops strategies for task management and intervention implementation.
  • Facilitates research, identifies resources, and provides recommendations for successful outcomes.
  • Drives continuous operational efficiency improvements while emphasizing clinical excellence and patient satisfaction.
