Manage and execute predefined processes. Job Description: This is a leadership role as the supervisor of the NPI Quality Engineering Team. The suitable candidate will lead a team of QEs to review and approve Product and Processes Corrective and Prevention Action Plans to improve manufacturing build quality at the NPI stage of the program. This person will work closely with the customers to satisfy their quality inspection requirements. This role is business critical in terms of keeping NPI Product Quality execution in check for · FAIR · TRI · NPI Test Log Review; provide leadership as well as technical enablement for the QE team to resolve manufacturing quality issues · Generate Quality Report to customers; maintain rigorous inspection criteria · Oversee the FPY metric across the NPI product lines · Drive continuous improvement; Lead RCCA effort; prevent Stop Ship Issues This is a hands-on leadership role, with the following more specific quality engineering tasks such as Assess and evaluate all reliability testing, equipment service and calibration and the verification process Perform failure analyses, root cause analysis and corrective action follow-up. Execute internal audits on QMS, EMS, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards. Coordinate UL (Underwriter’s Laboratory) and other regulatory factory audits. Conduct regular conference calls with customers or vendors and provide reports as needed. Work with internal Production, Engineering, Shipping/Receiving, Warehouse, Program Managers and Procurement to meet quality standards. Develop proactive solutions and implement Quality department strategies across the organization. Perform additional assessment and analysis as assigned.
