About The Position

The FSQA Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the FSQA Department including the FSQA Analysts and Technicians on all shifts and assists the QA Manager in ensuring all food safety and quality programs are accomplished in a thorough and timely manner. The FSQA Supervisor also completes special projects as assigned by the plant FSQA Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in food science or related discipline.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in quality assurance within a food-related environment.
  • HACCP certified or possesses a high level of knowledge related to the certification.
  • Thorough understanding of statistical analysis.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills on a general level.
  • Good analytical and logical problem-solving skills related to food safety and product quality issues.

Responsibilities

  • Verification of the Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Verification of HACCP Programs for the plant.
  • Supervise and assist FSQA Technicians in their daily duties.
  • Manage and document daily product slicing.
  • Ensure Label Requirements are met for all bags and boxes.
  • Administer the Micro and Environmental Programs.
  • Review and monitor all in Plant Programs relating to FSQA.
  • Cover for the FSQA Manager in his/her absence
  • Other duties as assigned.
