The Supervisor-Purchasing, supervises employees involved in purchasing and inventory control functions and coordinates the purchasing process, inventory, storage of food, supplies and ingredient room areas. Maintains the master file for food specifications and coordinates the delivery of supplies to ECH, BMC, SH and Medical Center Nutritional Services departments. Meets with food, supply, and equipment vendors as representative of Nutritional Services and LLUMC. Oversees purchasing contracts, Coordinates and works with the Executive Director, vendors, and preventive maintenance contracts to ensure repairs of equipment meet all regulatory and compliance standards after repairs are met; the purchasing of new equipment or leases as well as scheduling the manufacturer to provide initial training safety features and ongoing cleaning; proper use of cleaners and sanitizers along with SDS sheets to train the staff. Coordinates with the Executive Director the need to fix or replace necessary equipment to effectively use department resources. Performs other duties as needed.
