About The Position

The Supervisor of Purchasing/Storeroom at Fauquier Health is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Materials department. This role includes managing vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with policies, and providing training and direction to staff. The Supervisor plays a key role in procurement activities and inventory management, serving as a resource for hospital personnel in utilizing the inventory system effectively.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree preferred.
• 3-5 years supervisory experience in operations, supply chain, logistics, or healthcare fields required.
• Experience in relevant IMS or ERP system(s) required.
• 1-2 years oversight of courier or fleet services preferred.
• Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment required.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a stressful environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in healthcare supply chain management.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Materials department including vendor maintenance and procurement activities.
• Determine, coordinate, and supervise daily staffing assignments and levels.
• Serve as a resource to hospital personnel for placing orders of inventory and non-stock items.
• Promote standardization of products and vendors.
• Maintain effective vendor relationships and assist with resolving customer inquiries and purchase orders.
