About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining high production, quality, and yields while ensuring the safest working environment possible. The role requires a strong understanding and control of the production process, accurate recordkeeping, and oversight of general line maintenance and staffing.

Requirements

  • One year in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred.
  • Equivalent experience may be met through a bachelor’s degree.
  • High school diploma required.
  • Additional education such as vocational training, special coursework, or college classes is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills helpful.
  • Strong communication skills required.
  • Responsible for supervising a group of personnel performing related tasks and activities.
  • 1–5 trips per year.

Responsibilities

  • Review daily production orders to ensure fulfillment of customer requirements.
  • Ensure all positions are filled prior to production line start‑up.
  • Oversee Team Member warm‑up exercises and job rotation to support ergonomics.
  • Ensure all machinery is operating at the highest standard.
  • Verify all workstations have passed USDA inspection.
  • Promote safety daily and through monthly safety meetings.
  • Ensure accurate shipments, proper inventory rotation, and correct product coding.
  • Communicate company benefits and compensation policies to Team Members.
  • Provide encouragement and support to build a strong, effective team.
  • Perform essential human‑relations functions, including training, retention, and counseling on personal or professional matters.
  • Oversee various processing operations and collaborate with other supervisors to resolve issues.
  • Maintain records of reworked or returned product.
  • Provide continuous education on the importance of quality.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed.
