About The Position

Dana is a global leader in the supply of highly engineered driveline, sealing, and thermal-management technologies that improve the efficiency and performance of vehicles with both conventional and alternative-energy powertrains. Serving two primary markets – passenger vehicle and commercial truck – Dana provides the world's original-equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.Job Duties and Responsibilities Manage the activities of the press floor, under the direction of the Operations Manager, and follow established procedures and approved processes. Supervise all production operations. Coordinate departmental activities to fulfill sales orders, meet inventory requirements, and deliver manufactured products in a timely fashion. Supervise all employees on the shift. Develop a safety mindset by example, instill that in all employees, and ensure all safety guidelines are followed consistently. Develop and support a 5S mindset in all plant areas. Constructive employee counseling when necessary. Schedule rotation and relief to ensure that all positions are covered. Ensure that operators have accurately completed the production paperwork. Monitor production throughout the shift for problems and production levels.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of manufacturing experience required.
  • Requires technical and mechanical ability.
  • Microsoft Word and Excel required.
  • Ability to work effectively with other departments within the plant.
  • Thorough knowledge of all manufacturing methods, techniques, and related equipment
  • Must have strong leadership skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
  • Must have computer-based know, including Microsoft Word and excel.

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5 years supervisory experience preferred.
  • SAP experience preferred.
