About The Position

This position is responsible for driving high production performance, maintaining exceptional product quality and yields, and ensuring the safest work environment possible. Success in this role requires a strong understanding of production processes, accurate recordkeeping, effective line management, and proactive staffing oversight. Key responsibilities include reviewing daily production orders to ensure customer requirements are met, confirming all positions are staffed prior to line start‑up, overseeing Team Member warm‑up exercises and job rotations to support ergonomics, and ensuring all equipment operates at peak performance. Additional duties involve verifying that all workstations meet USDA inspection standards, promoting safety through daily practices and monthly meetings, and ensuring accurate shipments, proper inventory rotation, and correct product coding. This role also requires strong leadership and communication skills, including the ability to explain company benefits and compensation policies, motivate Team Members, and perform essential human‑relations functions such as training, retention, and counseling on personal or professional concerns. The position further includes overseeing various processing operations, collaborating with other supervisors to resolve issues, maintaining records of reworked or returned products, reinforcing the importance of quality, and performing additional responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience: 1 year in a manufacturing environment and prior supervisory/lead experience preferred or equivalent educational typically acquired through a bachelors degree.
  • Education: High school diploma; education beyond high school including special training, vocational school and/or college courses is preferred.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills helpful.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills.
  • Supervisory: This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities.
  • Travel: 1-5 trips per year.

  • Work Schedule: Thursday night through Sunday night, 5:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., followed by a rotation every eight weeks.
