About The Position

The Production Supervisor leads packaging and processing operations to ensure consistent output, superior product quality, and cost efficiency. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to fostering a safe, positive, and high-performance work environment. The supervisor drives continuous improvement through training, process optimization, and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; minimum of 2 years relevant industrial experience.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills with proven ability to coach and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and reporting tools.
  • Experience with cleaning, sanitation procedures, cGMP compliance, and safety management.
  • Skilled in process management, hazard recognition, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise up to 30 employees, providing clear guidance, coaching, and performance feedback. Regularly conducts team meetings and huddle meetings.
  • Build a culture of accountability, discipline, morale, and safety, positioning the company as an employer of choice. Conducts performance evaluations with each direct report.
  • Communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, and team members to minimize production issues and maximize efficiency.
  • Manage daily packaging and processing operations to meet or exceed production schedules, quality standards, and budget targets.
  • Ensure adequate staffing, equipment, and resources to achieve operational goals.
  • Develop and implement new procedures, training programs, and process improvements to reduce labor costs, minimize rework, and enhance productivity.
  • Maintain strict adherence to cGMP, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Enforce compliance with OSHA and company safety policies, ensuring hazard recognition and accident prevention.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards.
  • Ensure employees are properly trained in safety procedures, personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, and emergency response protocols.
  • Oversee equipment and facility sanitation, ensuring cleaning logs are maintained and procedures are followed correctly.
  • Partner with Quality Assurance to complete cleaning validations and uphold product integrity.
  • Lead special projects to introduce innovative practices and improve overall performance.
  • Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for production, sanitation, and safety processes.
  • Deliver daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports to track progress and drive accountability.
