The Supervisor, Process Maintenance is responsible for technical oversight, optimization, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement of the blending processing systems and associated plant utilities, while also serving as the direct supervisor for two Process Maintenance Technicians working on 2nd and 3rd shifts. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, optimizes system performance, leads troubleshooting efforts, and provides expertise in operational enhancements. The Supervisor, Process Maintenance collaborates with cross-functional teams, leads technical training, and supports audits while serving as the subject matter expert in process system operation.

  • Act as Process Maintenance for 1st shift, and supervise Process Maintenance Technicians on 2nd and 3rd shift, providing guidance, training, and support. Responsible for managing their performance, including hiring/firing authority.
  • Maintenance: Perform and oversee preventive maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on various equipment and systems, including purified water systems, plant utilities, and liquid blending process equipment.
  • Purified Water Systems: Maintain and troubleshoot purified water systems, ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Plant Utilities: Oversee the maintenance of plant utilities such as compressed air, steam, and water distribution systems.
  • Liquid Blending Process Equipment: Maintain and troubleshoot liquid blending process equipment, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to production specifications.
  • Safety: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, conducting safety inspections and training.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including work orders and safety reports following cGMP and Data Integrity guidelines
  • Problem-Solving: Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, implementing effective solutions.
  • Coordination: Schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks, coordinating with other departments as needed.
  • Experience: Several years of experience in maintenance or a related field, with leadership experience preferred. Specific experience with purified water systems, plant utilities, and liquid blending process equipment is highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and process control systems, as well as familiarity with purified water systems, and liquid blending process equipment.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • High School Diploma, Technical or Trade School Graduate, Associate Degree in electro-mechanics preferred, or equivalent on the job experience.
  • Good knowledge of process equipment, photo sensors, solenoids, relays, electric motors, air mixers, pumps and pneumatics, liquids process flow, fundamentals of basic electricity and controls.
  • PC skills (word, power point, excel)
  • Good understanding of cGMP, Lock-out/Tag-out, PPE requirements, Safety practices, basic understanding of Hazardous Materials and learn to interpret Safety Data Sheets
  • 7 - 10 years of experience in industrial equipment troubleshooting and maintenance; minimum 2 years supervisory experience.
  • Basic knowledge of Purified Water Systems.
  • Basic knowledge of Preventive Maintenance Principles
  • Can decipher and troubleshoot complex equipment/control problems.
  • Willing to learn systems and processes
  • Be flexible and work extended shifts and overtime when required, including nights, weekends and holidays if necessary.
  • Qualify to wear a respirator and fall and hazardous prevention equipment
  • Requires standing, walking, and working in a manufacturing environment for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs as needed for system maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • May involve climbing, bending, kneeling, and reaching when working on equipment.
  • This is a salaried role, requiring flexibility to address urgent system issues outside regular hours.
  • On-call availability may be required for emergency response, troubleshooting, and critical maintenance needs
