About The Position

SUPERVISOR, PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE , Facilities-Repair and Maintenance (R&M) , to provide leadership and supervision to the Preventive Maintenance team. Repair and Maintenance is responsible for 181 buildings within the campus portfolio consisting of approximately 13.5m GSF. Will be responsible for managing and assigning the day-to-day work; acting as the point person for preventive maintenance execution on all mechanical, electrical, piping, and structural system issues; providing leadership and direction to assigned team members; managing the entire preventive maintenance process, including performing QA/QC on work performed; ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations; seeking out preventive maintenance best practices; responding to and being available for emergency situations; and providing weekend supervisory coverage on a rotating basis.

Requirements

• High school diploma or its equivalent
• a minimum of five years of supervisory experience in building operations
• expertise in one or more of the skilled trades, facilities management, or an engineering discipline
• solid background in repair and maintenance and/or facilities management in an academic setting with oversight over mechanical, electrical, and plumbing preventative maintenance
• demonstrated proficiency in job planning and execution
• excellent interpersonal and written and oral communications skills
• ability to maneuver in and around mechanical rooms and on rooftops

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree or bachelor’s degree and direct HVAC experience
