About The Position

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provides work coordination and planning including assignment and scheduling of work tasks. Work tasks include but are not limited to maintenance and field staff support, emergent designs and implementation, power equipment specifications, EI sketch review. Provides leadership in developing assigned power equipment standards and coordinates with the other Engineering groups to ensure they are followed consistently. Provides leadership for the annual capital maintenance budget process. Performs regular reviews of the status of the budget activities Works closely with the other engineering groups to ensure efficient and effective processes are followed in the course of work. Oversees NERC Reliability Standards assignments to staff Subject Matter Experts for both 693 and CIP requirements. Coaches, mentors and performs performance reviews and guides training and development of employees with their Employee Self-Development Plans. Interviews and evaluates candidates for employment and makes hiring recommendations. Actively participates in industry forums, conferences and staff recruiting activities. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor of Science degree (Electrical Engineering preferred) or relevant, equivalent experience and/or education. Minimum of five (6) years of directly related electric transmission system engineering; Ten (10) years preferred. Demonstrates knowledge of electric system components and related functions. Demonstrates effective leadership and motivational skills, which includes mentoring, coaching, developing co-workers and/or subordinates in a team-oriented environment. Demonstrates ability to analyze performance measures and implement process improvements. Demonstrates effective interpersonal, verbal and written skills. Possesses a valid driver's license. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer. ITC does not sponsor employment visas, such as H-1B or TN visas.

Requirements
