The position reports to the Operations Manager, Assistant Terminal Manager, and/or Terminal Manager. The role involves leading, guiding, and directing dock employees, including setting targets, monitoring performance, and providing coaching, counseling, and development. The individual is accountable for managing an efficient, clean, and safe L2L operation, which includes dock planning and scheduling. Responsibilities also include enforcing compliance with company policies, safety rules, and government regulations, as well as participating in hiring and termination processes. The position requires administering assigned portions of the Terminal Business plan and meeting all assigned KPIs. Daily utilization of company enhancement tools and processes is expected, along with reviewing and revising schedules to increase efficiencies and lower costs. The role also involves equipment assignment and movement in collaboration with other supervisors and management, ensuring proper communication with customers, and overseeing all paperwork associated with the dock.
