About The Position

SUMMARY: The Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of pharmacy technicians serving ARx Patient Solutions Pharmacy. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises daily technician tasks and performance levels applying operating discipline across both front end and fulfillment. Monitors pharmacy workflow queues and phone service levels Creates pharmacy technician schedule and schedule adherence. Manages and reallocates resources intraday to maintain workload and service level agreements. Provides coaching and performance feedback daily and as needed. Provides weekly huddles to cover communications/process opportunities and changes. Completes monthly 1 on 1’s to evaluate workload, performance, and correction. Completes daily timecard review, quarterly performance review and annual performance review of strengths and opportunities for improvement. Maintains team morale and employee retention by serving as point of contact for questions and concerns. Resolves challenges, conflicts, and grievances in partnership with HR as needed. Participates in interviewing and hiring new pharmacy technicians and completes training for pharmacy technicians and ancillary staff members. Maintains commitment to quality and efficiency by review and ownership of processes and procedures. Identify risks and opportunities for process and procedure changes. Provides communication and follow up to ensure representatives are fully informed of all new information related to products, procedures, customer needs and company related issues, changes, or actions. Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of direct reports. Maintains collaboration among pharmacy technicians and resolves grievances. Prepares composite reports from individual reports by direct reports. Performs other related duties as assigned by management. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises all pharmacy technicians within ARx Patient Solutions Pharmacy. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Florida Pharmacy Technician License
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification
  • 2-4 years’ experience as a pharmacy technician supervisor required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal, preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience as pharmacy technician supervisor preferred.
  • Computer skills preferred: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office, Teams)
