Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first The Supervisor, Pharmacy Engineering oversees logistics, fabrication, installation, operation, application, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electromechanical machines, equipment, tools, motors and systems The Supervisor, Pharmacy Engineering works within thorough, prescribed guidelines and procedures; uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors to solve basic problems; collaborates with management and top professionals/specialists in selection of methods, techniques, and analytical approach. The Supervisor, Pharmacy Engineering ensures maintenance and continuous improvement of quality and industry standards, evaluates mechanical products to determine cost effectiveness and efficiency, oversees and implements prescription drug distribution equipment and recommends design modifications to eliminate malfunctions, reduce cost-to-fill, increase throughput and improve quality, performs and leads tests of related software and equipment to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects, and devises improvements to current procedures and develops models of possible future configurations. Decisions are typically are related to schedule, plans and daily operations. Performs escalated or more complex work of a similar nature, andsupervises a group of typically support and technical associates; coordinates and provides day-to-day oversight to associates. Requirements

  • High School Diploma with 4+ years experience in an electrical maintenance or related field.
  • Some direct leadership experience in an industrial environment.
  • Strong hands on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with PLC devices, control networks, software and applications.
  • Ability to create, read logic and flow diagrams for program design, programming, simulation, testing, and start-up
  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturer instructions regarding repair and maintenance of automated equipment
  • Ability to maintain programming, troubleshoot, and determine causes of failure to perform corrective actions
  • Ability to find the root cause on devices or equipment that resulted in system failures
  • Excellent leadership skills and decision making skills
  • Strong communication & problem solving skills
  • Proven competency in supervisory activities which require conflict management, developing subordinates, directing subordinates, managing and measuring performance, motivating, building team spirit and morale
  • Strong ability to multi-task, and work effectively in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to troubleshot/repair/replace faulty electrical components such as: Motors, relays, switches, servos, VFDs, and other sensing devices
  • You must reside in the Orlando, Florida metro area or be in commuting distance.

Responsibilities

  • Administer CMMS for all maintenance work orders, PM's, part inventory and labor hours
  • Maintain records of repairs, time spent, part usage and other information for historical data
  • Notify management, and schedule maintenance of any abnormalities, which may impair the proper functioning of the equipment before equipment actually breaks down
  • Create/review/approve purchase order for spare parts. Maintain proper level of inventory to support production equipment
  • Direct activities of maintenance on a daily basis, ensuring proper training and supervise Automation Maintenance Team
  • Develop performance expectations; ability to write reports, and procedure manuals
  • Ensure prompt responses/resolutions to repair calls when equipment breakdowns to ensure timely repairs to minimize downtime
  • Install all new equipment including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, electronic PLC control and computer systems
  • Must be able to prioritize projects/tasks to meet production goals.
  • Routinely perform spot check work performed to ensure quality craftsmanship
  • Collaborate with Operation and Engineering Departments on prototyping/testing of new equipment and improvement projects
  • Troubleshoot, routinely inspect equipment and electro-mechanical and pneumatic controls as necessary on automated equipment
  • Report to Maintenance Manager on equipment condition and status as necessary
