About The Position
The position involves demonstrating knowledge of standards and regulations while maintaining proper documentation. The individual will assure readiness with all regulatory agencies and compliance with department, hospital, and AHS policies and procedures. Responsibilities include assisting in the documentation, implementation, and monitoring of medication and patient safety initiatives, maintaining safe and efficient operations in the pharmacy, and supporting departmental goals by assisting team members. Effective communication with healthcare providers and caregivers is essential to ensure continuity of pharmaceutical care. The role also includes performing employee orientation, providing continual training, and participating in annual evaluations. The individual will support the pharmacist-in-charge and collaborate with the pharmacy leadership team on departmental initiatives related to medication safety, including developing and overseeing programs to ensure safe medication use, conducting safety audits, and providing education to healthcare professionals.
