About The Position

We are currently seeking an individual for the position of Maintenance Supervisor. This position will be primarily responsible for managing all aspects of the maintenance function to ensure safe working conditions and to meet all regulatory compliance requirements. Partners with management team to develop solutions, promote great team morale, and maintain a safe work environment. Job Description: Job Description: Independently manage a maintenance team and CDL drivers over multiple shifts including employee schedules and payroll Ensure machinery is functioning at optimal capacity Ensure all PDC facility and grounds are well maintained Direct and contribute to achieve timely pickup and delivery of poultry products such as eggs, chicks, and chickens Purchase equipment or materials necessary for the maintenance department and maintain accurate records Establish and maintain the preventative maintenance program to ensure machinery is maintained at optimum and safe working condition Use sound judgement of work order priority Schedule required repairs and installation of machines or equipment Supervise maintenance department personnel in day-to-day operation to ensure minimal downtime, maintain accountability, productivity, and optimal efficiency Manage the department budget within approved limits Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities in conjunction with operating teams Work closely with other departments such as broilers, breeders, hatchery, and processing plant to achieve tasks Establish and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to regulate the maintenance functions Provide daily and/or weekly feedback on project progression and areas in need of improvement Administer employee evaluations, performance improvement plans, and disciplinary actions on a fair and consistent basis Follow, promote and ensure subordinates adhere to all safety initiatives helping to achieve a zero incident culture Establish, communicate and maintain expectations to support safety, company standards and to provide clear direction for employees to follow

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years relevant progressive maintenance experience
  • 5 year’s experience in poultry industry
  • CDL-Class A required
  • Knowledge of poultry processing systems, farm maintenance systems, and DOT regulations
  • Knowledge of biosecurity, animal welfare, and safety are essential
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization in a timely and professional manner
  • Must have exceptional communication, both verbal and written
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to resolve issues efficiently and effectively
  • Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word)
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment using excellent organizational skills
  • Must possess a strong customer-centric attitude
  • High energy level and a strong sense of urgency
  • Have high level of integrity and team work

Nice To Haves

  • Hatchery, poultry farm, vehicle and processing maintenance experience preferred
