As Supervisor, Patient Care RN – Behavioral Health unit at Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego, you will lead a dedicated team committed to providing high-quality care for patients on their recovery journey. Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of applicable clinical RN experience, with at least one year in a leadership role.
  • Exceptional skills in communication, problem-solving, team development, and strategic planning.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage responsibilities within the scope of the organization and the complexities of patient care.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Active California RN license.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
  • Completion of all competencies and certifications required for the Charge RN role on the unit.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN or specialty certification in the relevant area.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Patient Care Manager to provide leadership for the unit, overseeing daily staffing and ensuring optimal patient care.
  • Lead efforts to improve patient flow, bed placement, and transitions of care using cutting-edge technology.
  • Ensure seamless patient hand-offs between levels of care and actively involve nursing staff in planning and coordination.
  • Promote a patient-centered approach to care while maintaining a safe and supportive environment for both staff and patients.
