Accountable for the supervision and delegation of all aspects of daily departmental operations. Develops and implements an operational plan that includes staffing resources, policies and procedures, and quality improvement activities. Ensures timely, accurate, and compliant registration and scheduling of all patients. Assures that all staff adheres to Swedish's customer service standards and is compliant with organization and department required competencies. Works with hospital outpatient department managers to ensure accurate registration and scheduling practices and supervises coordination of physician orders, referrals and authorizations. Resolves problems impacting the patient access revenue cycle. Able to perform all duties of Patient Registration Reps and Senior Patient Services Specialist, including registration and scheduling.
