About The Position

The Supervisor Patient Access role at St. Peter's Hospital is a frontline, department-based position responsible for supervising the daily functions of assigned areas. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two to three years of experience in Pre-service or Patient Access operations with supervisory or lead responsibilities.
  • National certification in HFMA CRCR, NAHAM CHAA, or NAHAM CHAM required within one year of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree.
  • Patient accounting experience.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the daily operations and oversight of staff in the Patient Access department.
  • Collaborates with department managers to manage staff and department effectively.
  • Participates in the performance management/review process.
  • Implements departmental plans and priorities identified by accountable leaders.
  • Coordinates staff scheduling and assignment.
  • Reviews and approves administrative functions such as time, payroll, and expenses.
  • Ensures productive use of resources to achieve commitments and quality standards.
  • Employs effective communication to develop mutual confidence and trust.
  • Maintains knowledge of applicable laws and regulations to ensure adherence to ethical and professional behavior.
