About The Position

The Patient Access Supervisor at OSF HealthCare is responsible for overseeing the Patient Access Services team, ensuring the delivery of excellent patient service and adherence to departmental policies. This role involves collaborating with the Revenue Cycle leadership to implement best practices, improve patient experiences, and manage departmental performance. The position requires a balance of supervisory duties, staff training, and operational oversight in various patient access functions.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree or equivalent experience of 3 years in revenue cycle or medical office experience.
• 3 years' experience in an office clerical setting or customer service environment.
• 1 year direct experience in a healthcare revenue cycle or medical setting.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Required to complete all revenue cycle training and certification within 12 months.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare or related field preferred.
• 1 year of experience in a team lead, performance improvement, or leadership position.
• Nationally recognized Revenue Cycle certification (NAHAM, AAHAM, HFMA).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor Patient Access Services personnel daily.
• Communicate regularly with staff to identify opportunities for improving patient experience.
• Ensure adequate staffing to meet business needs.
• Provide evaluations and feedback to team members.
• Carry out organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
• Recruit, retain, and train staff in Patient Access Services.
• Assist with departmental planning and performance evaluation.
• Promote best practices and professional standards in alignment with OSF Healthcare's strategic initiatives.
