About The Position

The Supervisor of Parking Enforcement at Texas Woman's University is responsible for overseeing parking attendants and managing parking enforcement operations. This role involves coordinating parking services, conducting staff training, enforcing parking regulations, and collaborating with campus departments to address traffic and parking issues. The supervisor will also monitor trends, propose policy modifications, and ensure the efficient operation of parking enforcement functions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
  • Four years of experience including supervision.
  • Working knowledge of office practices and methods.
  • Knowledge of Texas Motor Vehicle code and local laws related to non-moving traffic violations.
  • Ability to coordinate work with other employees and provide direct instruction or supervision.
  • Ability to organize work effectively and prioritize objectives.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with students, faculty, staff, and the public.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in various formats.
  • Ability to interpret and explain University parking policies and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain reasonable and predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises parking attendants and parking enforcement operations.
  • Coordinates parking services and related outreach activities.
  • Develops plans for special events affecting parking space and signage.
  • Collaborates with campus departments regarding construction impacts on traffic and parking.
  • Resolves conflicts related to parking and traffic conditions.
  • Monitors trends and proposes necessary policy modifications.
  • Collects and utilizes data to improve operations and processes.
  • Oversees evening shuttle services.
  • Provides guidance and supervision to subordinates.
  • Develops and conducts staff training programs.
  • Enforces parking rules and regulations.
  • Monitors uploads of citation records to the Parking Management System.
  • Coordinates staffing and operational activities of the parking enforcement team.
  • Provides management with necessary reports.
  • Establishes job standards and evaluates subordinate staff.
  • Recommends and assists in implementing goals and objectives.
  • Establishes schedules for all shifts and methods for parking regulation enforcement.
  • Identifies opportunities for improving service delivery methods and implements improvements.
  • Leads in identifying and booting or towing vehicles.
  • Issues parking citations and patrols parking areas for hazardous conditions.
