About The Position

As a Supervisor, Operations with Trans Mountain, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a progressive and fast-paced group of experts in the Pipeline Operations department. Reporting to the Manager, Operations, this position is responsible for supervising and managing field operations for staff in Puget District to ensure safe, reliable, compliant and efficient operations. Staff include technical trade technicians, administrative staff, pipeline maintenance, pipeline protection and Emergency Response Technicians.

Requirements

  • Technical Diploma or skilled trades certification.
  • Required to be legal to travel to Canada for training.
  • Legally able to work in US.
  • Minimum 10 years of technical experience with the pipeline industry and/or related industrial industry.
  • Successful completion of High School with equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading staff; to provide coaching and mentorship.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle strict deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Maintain a high regard for personal safety, safety of company assets and employees, and safety of the public.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage daily work responsibilities for direct reports. To include coaching and performance management.
  • Support with budgets for area of responsibility.
  • Support the facilitation of training and completion of competencies for direct reports.
  • Support with regulatory compliance requirements for area of responsibility.
  • Work collaboratively with other Trans Mountain districts and departments.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings. Safety, operations, compliance, etc.
  • Communications: Internal and External: safety, operations, compliance, etc.
  • Interact with external stakeholders as required.
  • Support management of contractors within district following CCAP standards.
