About The Position

Nurse Supervisor of RN Navigator team. Facilitates teamwork and collaboration interdepartmentally. Performance evaluations ensure the highest quality of care is provided. Demonstrates continuous performance improvement in the navigation program. Oversees the nursing navigation team and nursing practice.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• 5 years of general nursing experience.
• 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure by Board of Nurse Examiners for State of Texas upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Less than 1 year of oncology experience minimum.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and/or teaches others specialized knowledge and skills necessary to perform techniques and routines in area of specialty.
• Provides operational management of daily patient care services.
• Assesses, monitors, and evaluates systems for delivery of care.
• Assists in development of patient care standards of practice and personnel performance.
• Designs, executes, and delivers effective system of internal controls applicable and in compliance to laws, regulations, and internal policies and procedures.
• Facilitates teamwork through planned group processes, (i.e., workshops, seminars, and staff meetings).
• Supervises nursing staff and/or other non-licensed medical or office support personnel.
• May provide direct patient care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
