Supervisor of Vocational Instruction

About the position

The Supervisor of Vocational Instruction (SVI) serves under the leadership of the Central Program Services Program Director (Developmental Disabilities-Safety) and the supervision of the Supervisor of Correctional Education Programs (SCEP) to assist in the planning, development, and implementation of the career technical education (CTE) and integrated education and training (IET) programs offered through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), Title II: Adult Education and Family Literacy Act (AEFLA)-Public Law 113-128. This position is not eligible for telework, this position is in person only.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, development, and implementation of CTE and IET programs.
• Supervise vocational instruction staff and programs.
• Ensure compliance with WIOA and AEFLA regulations.
• Coordinate with other educational and vocational training programs.

Requirements

• Possession of a valid regular or provisional credential from the Commission for Teacher Preparation and Licensing.
• Two years of administrative, supervisory, or teaching experience in an organized vocational training program.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in vocational education.
• Knowledge of legal aspects of vocational education.
