Summary The Supervisor of Transmission Planning Engineering supervises the engineering services performed in the department. May be responsible for developing and managing outside business which includes meeting with new and existing customers, preparing/presenting proposals, negotiating contract and ensuring projects are profitable. Transmission Planning Engineering Supervisors lead and supervise a System Planning team responsible for long ‑ range, strategic transmission planning activities as well as a Modeling & Analysis team responsible for transmission case model maintenance, EMT studies, NERC and FERC based compliance activities including interconnection and transmission service applications. Both roles ensure the development of technically sound, forward ‑ looking, and cost ‑ effective transmission plans that support system reliability, customer growth, regulatory expectations, and corporate strategy. Supervisors provide day ‑ to ‑ day leadership, technical oversight, prioritization, and staff development while coordinating closely with Transmission and Distribution management, program management, interconnections, regulatory, compliance, and operations.
