About The Position

The Supervisor of Staff, Ascent (“Supervisor”) is an integral member of Community Reach Center’s Ascent (“Division”) Division. The Supervisor under limited supervision, organizes, administers, and oversees clinical staff including but not limited to; provides direct service when needed, specifically to screen consumers for Ascent, coordinate with local hospitals, provide psychoeducation to family members, and manage consumer crisis when needed. The Supervisor provides supervision to assigned staff, manages daily program operations, and provides care to consumers. The Supervisor has administrative oversight of the team including financial, resource and facilities management. Additionally, the Supervisor will have other duties and responsibilities as determined from time to time by the Program Manager. As the supervisor for the first episode of psychosis program, a candidate will hold the key to guiding individuals through one of the most critical junctures of their lives. They would become the beacon of hope for those navigating the turbulent waters of psychosis for the first time. They will be at the forefront of innovative interventions, shaping treatment plans that can alter the trajectory of consumers lives. Their leadership is not just about managing tasks; it's about empowering the team to provide compassionate, evidence-based care that fosters recovery and resilience. In this role, they will witness moments of vulnerability, resilience, and transformation with both consumers and staff. Their expertise will be the cornerstone upon which individuals rebuild their lives, reclaiming their autonomy and rediscovering their lives with the new symptoms. As the supervisor of the Ascent program, they will not just a professional. They are a guardian of hope, an advocate for understanding, and a catalyst for change.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Social work, Sociology, or a directly related field is preferred.
  • LCSW, LPC, LMFT or LP is required.
  • 1+ years of experience working in Mental Health
  • Experience with state and local policy issues regarding mental health, substance abuse and/or children’s systems of care.
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and keyboard.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
  • Light to moderate lifting is required,
  • Regular, predictable attendance is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accuracy, quality and efficiency standards are met with regards to medical record standards and case management services for consumers. Advocates appropriate services for consumers.
  • Collects data to report back to the state around how the team is functioning, and how consumers on the team are progressing in treatment.
  • Identify, implement, and monitor customer services standards to ensure team is meeting internal and external customer needs, in a professional manner.
  • Provides oversight regarding the compliance and standards of care concerning all licensing, accrediting and oversight agencies that are consistent with the peer program, as well as organizational goals.
  • Trains and evaluates staff to maintain quality within the team using long- and short-term goals, encourage growth and development while instilling awareness of cultural diversity.
  • Participates in the selection process for internal and external candidates for program staff.
  • Provides direct consumer consultation and care utilizing evidence-based practice models on location and in the community.
  • Completes performance evaluations and provide appropriate coaching and counseling to ensure all employees perform at satisfactory levels, identify where discipline is appropriate.
