About The Position

The program supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day onsite management of the Single Moms’ program. Working with program staff, and in oversight of program clients, the position ensures that clients adhere to program rules and expectations. The supervisor supports client success in the Single Moms’ program by understanding and assisting them with their specific needs. Assistance is provided through direct provision of services or by referring the clients to a community resource. The supervisor represents One More Child and the Single Moms’ program in the community and develops relationships to add to the resource tools offered to clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or an equivalent degree in the Human Services field.
  • Two years of professional related experience.
  • At least twenty-one (21) years of age to drive a company vehicle, and a driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight for clients as they manage households in adherence with program guidelines, such as schedules, family needs, budgeting and required documentation completed, along with safety procedures documented and followed.
  • Work cooperatively with team members to coordinate intake decisions for client suitability.
  • Process phone inquiries and use judgement to make appropriate referrals.
  • Conduct client orientation and complete client admissions paperwork and documentation.
  • Develop relevant service plans for each client, with a money management plan, as well as conduct life skills evaluations and ensure proper documentation in client files.
  • Provide for special needs of client families as prescribed by plan of service.
  • Facilitate or teach classes in various life skills topics, such as Parenting, Money Management, Job Skills, Health Issues, with other topics encouraging personal and spiritual growth.
  • Assess client progress with at minimum weekly team meeting in program home and adapt service plans according.
  • Using department guidelines, develop and execute a follow-up plan with discharged clients, discussing with relevant leadership before and during.
  • Submit accurate and timely scheduled reports, forms and entries into database.
  • Represent OMC in the community, at speaking engagements or presentations, and host volunteers, tour groups and visitors on campus, to build relationships and resources for the single moms’ program.
  • Assist in departmental training programs and participate in training opportunities to stay aware of innovative ideas and tools available in the field.
  • Meet with clients in the evenings or weekends when necessary and respond to emergencies when on call.
  • Supervise Single Moms’ Program staff, providing direction on scheduling, work assignments
  • Management performance with guidance from department leadership as needed.
  • Ensure staff compliance with mandatory rules, training and policies and procedures.
