About The Position

The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is in the famed Deer Valley ski resort and approximately 40 minutes from the Salt Lake City International Airport. The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is part of a new development, planned to incorporate 17 ski lifts, ±1,600 residential units, 8 hotels with a total of ±1,350 rooms, ±250,000 square feet of conference and retail space, and one of the largest "ski beaches" in the world. The Grand Hyatt is comprised of 436 luxury accommodations including 359 guest rooms, 55 residences and 22 suites with approximately 30,000 square feet of versatile indoor meeting space, lobby level 3-meal restaurant and bar, signature bar, pool/après ski bar and grill, coffee bistro, large outdoor event terrace, pool and 3 whirlpools, kids club, and fitness area. We are seeking a passionate, hands-on Spa & Retail Supervisor to lead the daily operations of our intimate and elegant spa. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a guest-focused environment and is committed to excellence in service, team leadership, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a spa, wellness, or hospitality setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead by example and inspire a team.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficient in administrative systems related to scheduling and payroll (experience with [insert software, if applicable] is a plus).
  • Passion for wellness, customer service, and team development.
  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have schedule flexibility to work days, early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Must have current TAM card certification
  • Must have current Alcohol server certification and/or food service permit as required by local or state government agency. Food service and/or other certification as required
  • Performs other job duties as required

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Spa Management to ensure smooth, professional daily operations.
  • Oversee and support all spa and retail team members, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of each role.
  • Foster exceptional guest experiences by maintaining high standards of service and hospitality.
  • Manage scheduling, payroll, and administrative tasks with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Promote and enforce safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols in accordance with health regulations.
  • Support staff development through coaching, feedback, and performance recognition.
  • Address team concerns and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment.
  • Assist in inventory management, merchandising, and retail sales strategies.
