Requirements

  • B.S. degree or higher from an accredited school in Physical Therapy.
  • Licensed by the appropriate Georgia State Board.
  • Three (3) years' experience in licensed discipline, with at least one (1) year experience in a hospital environment.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate tactfully.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively coordinate and direct activities, procedures and personnel.
  • Knowledgeable in rehab regulations, billing, and reimbursement, and CMS guidelines (example, G-Codes).
  • Certified in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for all age groups.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the daily activities of assigned departments including staff & student orientation, training, competency checks, scheduling & e-time.
  • Acts as liaison between assigned departments, patient care units, and other medical personnel.
  • Assists leadership with performance improvement activities.
  • Works with age groups defined by clinical competency which may include neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations.
  • Provides patient and family education and exercises courtesy and patience in speaking with and assisting patients, families, medical personnel and others to provide quality customer service.
