About The Position

Under the direction of the Chief Academic Officer, this position serves as the Supervisor for all K-12 programs and responsibilities related to Math.

Requirements

• A Master’s degree in appropriate field with an emphasis in Supervision, Education and/or Administration
• Eligibility for appropriate Maryland Certificate with Admin I
• A minimum of five (5) years of satisfactory experience in teaching, administration or supervision.
• Possess strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to create and conduct training.
• Must be pleasant and professional.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates, implements and provides direct leadership for curriculum development, textbook selection, program evaluation, and professional development in Math.
• Coordinates all county-wide Math curriculum, textbook selection, program evaluation, and professional development.
• Serves as a second observer for elementary and secondary teachers for the listed subject areas.
• Assist all administrators and teachers in the implementation of the Teacher Evaluation System (TES)
• Assists teachers and principals in the development and implementation of the Professional Growth Plan, SLO Plan and Professional improvement plans.
• Assumes other responsibilities as assigned by the Superintendent.
