Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Medical Technology).
  • Six years of pertinent clinical laboratory experience subsequent to the BS degree or four years experience with an MS degree.
  • Background in molecular techniques and analysis including but not limited to nucleic acid extraction, PCR, qPCR, NGS, and sequencing.
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under time constraints, without close supervision.
  • Previous supervisory experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Two or more years of group leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Previous experience in a clinical laboratory setting involving molecular oncology and/or infectious diseases.

Responsibilities

  • Lead laboratory operations with a focus on identifying areas of opportunity and implementing action plans.
  • Support the Laboratory Director with organizational goals and objectives, including developing and inspiring your team of employees.
  • Interact with a variety of clients, patients, employees, and business units, with a commitment to customer-focused service.
  • Review business indicators, optimize processes, and maximize profitability.
  • Champion safety, compliance, and quality control.
