About The Position

The Supervisor - Mobile Equipment Maintenance position at East Boulder Mine in McLeod, MT involves leading a mechanical crew in alignment with SMC's supervisory principles, which include guiding, educating, and training team members. The role requires participation in safety meetings and inspections, ensuring that equipment is in safe working condition, and monitoring compliance with established safety policies. The supervisor will assist in employee development and skills training, collaborate with other departments to foster teamwork, and maintain costs within budget. Additionally, the supervisor will assist in the interview process and make recommendations for hiring.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of applicable MSHA rules and regulations.
• Leadership qualities including character, teamwork, communication, business sense, and vision.
• Basic understanding of high and low voltage electricity.
• Basic understanding of welding processes.
• Ability to use related O.E.M. manuals.
• Understand, support, and maintain compliance of SMC's DPM program.
• Understand, support, and maintain compliance of SMC's Noise exposure reduction plan.
• Computer skills plus the ability to learn and utilize Company authorized software.

Nice To Haves

• Working knowledge of underground mining.
• 2 to 5 years underground maintenance supervisory experience.
