Requirements

  • A BA in biology or microbiology required (Master's or PhD preferred)
  • Proven experience in lab supervision and regulatory compliance
  • Strong communication and inclusive leadership skills
  • Ability to mentor and empower team members
  • Familiarity with CAPA, OOS investigations, and quality systems
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends and holidays as needed
  • A commitment to ethical standards and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations of the microbiology lab and perform routine testing when needed
  • Guide and support lab personnel and collaborate with site stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with 21 CFR-Part 111 and 117 regulations
  • Drive investigations, issue deviations, and implement corrective actions
  • Oversee documentation, KPIs, and performance goals
  • Maintain and improve SOPs, protocols, and specifications
  • Contribute to audits and initiatives that enhance quality systems
  • Travel <10 %
