The Supervisor Mercantile is responsible for the business performance of the establishment. This role uses past performance, market conditions and strategic planning to forecast supply and demand. It coordinates all activities including management, customer relations, and marketing to ensure efficiency and profitability. The supervisor oversees daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and profitability, sets annual budgets and manages costs, while developing cost-saving strategies to increase profit. They devise systems, set policy, and implement changes to uphold quality standards. The position also involves providing training and leadership to staff, including team building and performance management, recruiting and hiring new staff, creating schedules, and tracking attendance. The supervisor investigates and resolves service complaints and enforces disciplinary actions as needed, maintains high standards of health, safety, and quality control, and prepares end-of-day financial reports.
