About The Position

The position at Dayton Children's - South Campus involves ensuring that safety is the priority in all aspects of work and the work environment. The role includes direct supervision of all clinical staff in the Medical Imaging department, managing staff time cards and schedules, and approving PTO requests while maintaining critical staffing levels. This is a working supervisor position, where supervisors are expected to be productive members of staffing approximately 50% of the time. Flexibility in hours may be required to meet departmental needs. The supervisor will partner closely with department managers to support clinical operations and employee engagement, perform patient and family rounding to capture feedback, and assist with staff management, coaching, and disciplinary actions. The supervisor is expected to model organizational values consistently.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in health sciences from an accredited program required.
  • 3+ years of experience as an imaging technologist required.
  • 1+ years of leadership experience in a relevant field preferred.
  • CPR certification required.
  • MRI Supervisor: ARRT registered in MRI.
  • Ultrasound Supervisor: ARDMS - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
  • X-ray/CT Supervisor: ARRT Registered in Radiography and Computed Tomography and Radiographer - ODH.

Responsibilities

  • Flex hours outside of regular schedule to meet departmental needs.
  • Partner with department managers to support clinical operations and employee engagement.
  • Perform rounding on patients and families to capture feedback and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist managers with staff contribution management, fact finding, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
