Primary Responsibilities: Upon the order of a qualified practitioner or provider, the Medical Imaging Supervisor will utilize equipment that produces ionizing radiation and/or other energies used in medical imaging to obtain studies for diagnostic purposes according to policies, procedures, and protocols of the KSC Medical Imaging Department and Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. The Medical Imaging Supervisor will utilize the designated Radiology Information System (RIS), Patient Archiving and Communication System (PACS) as well as computerized time keeping and ordering systems. The Medical Imaging Supervisor is directly responsible for regulatory compliance, inspection, accreditation, and maintenance concerns. Duties include the supervision of technical and/or clerical staff members; staff may be in multiple locations and/or multiple modalities. Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology
  • Associate’s degree in radiologic technology
  • ARRT(R)
  • MRT-General Certificate
  • BCLS certification through American Heart Association
  • Senior technologist with 5+ years of technical experience to include regulatory and quality control responsibilities
  • Ability to use computer keyboard and basic programs to generate department reports
  • Ability to grasp elements of image acquisition in multiple modalities
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Documented evident of leadership abilities

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare sciences, business or human resources
  • Certification in additional imaging modalities
  • PACS and RIS experience
  • Word or excel proficiency
