About The Position

Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager of the EPD business unit, this is an ideal opportunity for an experienced leader to step into a challenging role, own it, drive success, lead change and quickly make an impact at Curtiss-Wright. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the management of material entering, storing, and shipping from EPD. You will play a critical role within the organization and requires an individual who possesses strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, someone who will take ownership, and possess attention to detail skills.

Requirements

  • Must be a sole U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain security clearances.
  • Associate degree or equivalent and 5 plus years of experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Self-starter, goal oriented, customer focused, detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to problem solve and overcome scheduling challenges.
  • Lean and/or Six-Sigma experience and knowledge is preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to energize and build consensus with staff, peers, and direct reports.
  • Ability to take ownership of the department and improve its processes continuously.

Responsibilities

  • Assume responsibility of the materials team and familiarize yourself with all procedures associated with each department.
  • Manage all materials movements throughout EPD.
  • Set goals on performance and safety standards.
  • Ensure that there are adequate supplies, tools, and equipment for your teams to be successful.
  • Align with the Master Schedule in setting priorities and workload for departments.
  • Monitor employee productivity.
  • Commit to cycle count accuracy.
  • Oversee internal and external audits of the materials group.
  • Support customer oversight requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
  • Consistently evaluate for areas to improve within both departments.
  • Take ownership of coaching and developing the staff and recruit for staff as appropriate.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.
