Promote safe working conditions. Supervise day-to-day operations. Assess, coach and develop individuals and teams. Provide necessary resources. Build, manage and support a high employee involvement work environment. Develop and implement procedures and techniques to reduce process variation and manufacturing delays. Collaborate with customers, customer service, distribution, manufacturing, finance and suppliers in the manufacturing process to ensure production optimization, quality standards and customer expectations are met or exceeded. Provide recommendations to management on equipment and process modifications. Plan, assign and review work of staff to ensure department objectives are met. Train, develop and manage staff. Create a work environment that requires and supports a high level of employee efficiency and morale by providing leadership and the use of sound management, human relations principles and positive employee relations. Provide leadership, vision and direction to identify and fulfill current and future customer requirements. Perform other duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Significant professional experience in a manufacturing facility preferred.
  • Experienced Supervisor or Lead Person preferred.
  • Well-developed communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and resources to all teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to model appropriate behaviors that will produce high customer satisfaction, performance standards and integrity.
  • Ability to interpret and solve complex technical, social and financial problems.
  • Ability to develop and implement financial plans, control costs and maximize earnings.
  • Excellent knowledge of company policies.
  • Appropriate knowledge of technical manufacturing processes, continuous improvement principles and practices, customers and markets.
  • Undergraduate college degree (preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • Strong computer skills.
