About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor – Mobile Fleets will have direct oversight of staff performing planned and un-planned maintenance work for all mobile equipment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. An associate degree from a vocational or technical school is preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in maintenance.
  • ATF possessor’s clearance required.
  • Must complete MSHA 40-hour training or provide 5000-23 documentation of completed training.
  • Must pass physical and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with IFS preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, scheduling and oversight of the execution of preventive maintenance, reactive maintenance and emergency repair to mobile equipment.
  • Manage and coordinate contract maintenance of mobile equipment; both on-site and off-site.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Planner – Mobile Fleets and operations supervisors to meet the equipment maintenance needs of operations.
  • Works with the Maintenance Planner – Mobile Fleets to ensure maintenance PM’s are planned and scheduled as per the Lucky Friday Maintenance Work Management Process.
  • Ensures all required CMMS entry and paperwork is completed to the required standard, including shift reports, requests for materials, timecards, Work Order management etc.
  • Ensure the right quantities of equipment spare parts are available at the right time.
  • Set and maintain high standards for quality, quantity and safety of work performed.
  • Ensure maintenance mechanics are complying with the preventive maintenance schedule for equipment availability.
  • Manage urgent or breakdown jobs as required to keep equipment running and minimize downtime
  • Continuously seek ways to improve the maintenance of the mobile equipment.
  • Make sure mobile equipment spare parts are available.
  • Assign work orders to employees, set and maintain high standards for quality, quantity and safety of work performed. Follow up throughout the shift to ensure performance standards are being met.
  • Participate in Risk Assessment activities as required.
  • Participate in the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) as required.
  • Inspect daily operations and projects in process and upon completion to ensure the quality and reliability of work performed.
  • Completes required paperwork, including shift reports, requests for materials, timecards, etc.
  • Attends meetings as required, including training and department meetings.
  • Performs activities of workers supervised, per the bargaining agreement, in the case of an emergency, when necessary to instruct employees in their duties, for minor work that is unreasonable to assign to a bargaining unit employee, or to provide training for salaried personnel.
  • Follows and understands MSHA rules and regulations, environmental rules and regulations, SOP and work area instructions, participates in safety and environmental activities. Leads by example by adhering to rules and regulations, and ensuring compliance to rules and regulations established by the Lucky Friday.
  • Must be able to work and communicate with other members of the work team.
  • Must be willing to comply with all company policies and procedures, especially regarding Safety, Human Resources, and Environmental.
  • Comply with applicable environmental laws and regulations. Conducts activities and work in an environmentally responsible manner. Is aware of procedures to minimize impacts to the environment.
