About The Position

In this role you may train onday shift and then assume leadership of the swing shift operations. Days off will likely include week days. Salary range $50,000 and up based on experience. Responsible for supervision and training of facilities maintenance mechanics in repairs, service calls, special projects and troubleshooting to ensure continuous operation of all assigned building/mechanical related issues. Scheduling of projects, service calls, PM’s and staffing to meet specific deadlines in a fast paced environment. Interprets plans, blue prints, schematics and diagrams to ensure correct/prompt completion. Observe and train staff and guests on all safety related regulations. Be decisive with all work-related issues and recommendations for corrections to continuous operational problems. Keep all related personnel informed of progress and completion dates. Performs and oversees preventative maintenance and repairs on all mechanical and electrical systems equipment while observing all safety regulations while at the job site. Supervise Facilities personnel in accordance with job and project assignments. Responsible for upkeep and maintenance of all company buildings and grounds through follow up of written work orders and reports as well as personal direction. Identify areas of labor and purchasing to maintain or reduce costs to the company while maintaining the facility to the highest standards. Inspects all assigned equipment, making note of weak or defective parts, making recommendations for correction. Maintains shift logs indicating, but not limited to irregularities that may arise (mechanical shut downs, emergencies, alarms, etc.) and information necessary to the successful conduct of subsequent shifts. Meet regularly with employees and management to discuss issues and concerns. Perform personnel evaluations, documentation, discipline and administration as required by company policy and managerial direction. Maintain regular records and submit regular as well as special reports as assigned. Assign tasks and communicate to team members any changes in rules and procedures providing guidance as required to correct deficiencies and improve performance. Adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies in a professional and ethical manner. Meets attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies. Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience and 5 years maintenance, technical and/or construction experience.
  • Proven experience in operating and maintaining mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems in a commercial building setting
  • Knowledge of working with a computerized maintenance program such Siemens Insight Building Management System.
  • Knowledgeable in data entry, read and interpret output from computer (Ex. Microsoft Word, Excel).
  • Ensures compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, organization and communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of overall hotel/casino operations relating to maintenance.
  • Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift, including holidays and weekends.
  • Must pass background check, hair follicle drug test and MO Gaming License Process.
  • Must be able to work inside and maneuver throughout the kitchen areas.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to perform physical job duties of line employees in emergencies.
  • Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling customer and employee conflicts.
  • Must be able to load and unload carts containing food or chemicals.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and push and pull carts weighing up to 200 pounds.
  • Must be able to complete all appropriate paperwork.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
