About The Position

The Supervisor, Maintenance is responsible for providing daily direction to maintenance department teammates, overseeing facility equipment reliability, enforcing safety protocols, and supporting production and quality goals. This role ensures operational efficiency through preventative maintenance, technical repairs, and team leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or related field and at least 3 years of experience (distribution/manufacturing preferred).
  • In lieu of degree: High school diploma or GED and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Technical knowledge of battery maintenance, HVAC, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, powered lift equipment, and conveyor systems.
  • Previous safety and maintenance training experience.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot repair needs.
  • Working knowledge of 5S methodology.
  • Customer service driven and strong team player.
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures.
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret information.
  • Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
  • Manual dexterity and ability to use hands.
  • Ability to sit, walk, or stand for the duration of the shift.
  • Visual acuity to perform essential functions.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks with full range of motion.
  • Ability to lift/carry items up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Combination of formal education and progressive hands-on experience in automation, controls, or industrial maintenance
  • Experience supporting large-scale automated Production systems (Variety Packaging, conveyors, sortation, palletizers, Depalletizer, robotics, AGVs/AMRs)
  • Experience in high-volume Production, distribution & high-volume warehouse environments
  • Familiarity with reliability, predictive maintenance, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience working in customer-facing operational or technical roles PLC & Automation Expertise

Responsibilities

  • Supervises at least 2 full-time direct reports (hiring, terminations, coaching, skills development, recognition, performance management).
  • Provides day-to-day direction to maintenance department employees.
  • Supervises the facility safety/training lead.
  • Maintains facility equipment and systems through preventative maintenance.
  • Supports maintenance, facilities, and operations teams.
  • Assists management in ensuring equipment and systems reliability.
  • Adheres to and enforces company safety policies.
  • Assists in meeting production, quality, and safety goals.
  • Performs welding, fabrication, and technical repairs.
  • Conducts safety and maintenance training.
  • Repairs machinery and maintains preventative maintenance reports.
  • Assists in controlling costs of maintenance, sanitation, and operations supplies.
  • Ensures regulatory and company policy compliance.
  • Recommends measures to improve productivity and equipment performance.
  • Assures integrity of spare parts and tool inventory.
  • Tracks performance measures and provides reports to management.
